Your Bright Recesses

Your bright recesses-
They call to me like each plunk
Of water in a great waterfall
Heightened, echoing, penetrating
My own open ears.
You are the Opener of my ears
And the tender Lifter of my tired head.
Your sweet, strong fingertips tickle
my throat like static cling to my robe.
Your robe fills this temple of my heart-
This sweet temple You have
Majestically lit and breathed on.
Breathe into my nostrils
Super, so natural, this
Resuscitation we share.
You share Your Deepest Self
With me without
Reservation. Because I am
One who Loves You.
One who has glimpsed the
Secret that was only a secret
Because I hid my eyes
Beneath shaking fingers.
Fingers shaking with
Anticipation mingled with
Fear by deception.
Oh, that warm day I let You
Uncoil my snow-colored,
Snow-covered knuckles,
I saw it! Oh yes,
It was everywhere-
This, this Love substance…
It took the form of verdant leaves,
Pale butterflies, coal eyelashes,
The Sun. You! You are Love.
Your Love Self runs freely
And at a captivatingly varied pace.
Pace myself? I need not.
I can run to You as quickly as I dare
And let You hold me inside
Your waterfall Self.
Remember? Deep
Calls to Deep in the
Roar of Your waterfalls.
All Your waves and breakers have
Swept me over.
Sweep me clean and closer to You.
When is close enough? Where?
I only need to burrow further yet.
You are Infinite. My Holy One.
My Love Echo.
